Fergie to develop shoe line with Brown Shoe

Brown Shoe Co., which operates the Famous Footwear shoe store chain, said Thursday it will partner with singer Fergie to create a shoe brand. Brown Shoe product developers are collaborating with Fergie for the line, which will debut in spring 2009. The partnership was facilitated by Fergie’s marketing agents at Wilhelmina Artist Management. Fergie, whose real name is Stacy Ann Ferguson, is a member of the Black Eyed Peas. Brown Shoe shares fell 34 cents, or 2.1 percent, to $16 during midday trading. The stock has traded between $11.89 and $33 during the past 52 weeks. Source: CNN Money

Fergie Unveils Her New Kipling Bag Collection

Fergie just teamed up with myspace fashion for a show called The Fit, and gave us a behind-the-scenes look at her new bag collection she developed called the Fergie for Kipling Collection. She teams up with different models to show how to pair the different bags with different outfits. The styles of the bags are pretty funky, with bright colors, and a retro feel. They’re Fergalicious! Fair shelling out $270,000 for performer Fergie

Hip-hop singer Fergie will be paid $270,000 for her appearance at the San Diego County Fair next month, the largest sum the fair has paid a performer for a grandstand show. Hip-hop singer Fergie, shown at Street Scene at Qualcomm Stadium in 2005, will make an appearance at the San Diego County Fair next month. “We’re investing a lot of money in her,” acknowledged Barry Nussbaum, board member for the 22nd District Agricultural Association, a state agency that oversees the Del Mar Fairgrounds. As the economy continues its decline, officials say they are marketing the fair – which runs from June 14 to July 6 – as a bargain for families looking for a day of entertainment across the 344-acre venue. Mayer and Fergie serenade birthday boy Clooney

John Mayer and Fergie gave George Clooney a birthday to remember when they serenaded the movie star during a private party in New York on Monday night. Clooney turned 47 on Tuesday and hosted a post-Met Costume Gala party at Bungalow 8, where he was joined by his girlfriend, Sarah Larson, David Beckham, Mayer and Fergie. Earlier in the evening, the birthday boy co-hosted the fashion Oscars with pal Julia Roberts and Giorgio Armani. Source: SFGate

Singer Fergie Sets Eyes on ‘Fergie Inc.’

Watch out Gwen Stefani and JLo, here comes Fergie. The Grammy Award-winning songstress (a.k.a. - Stacy Ferguson) has already been a spokes model for Candie’s shoes and MAC cosmetics and just recently launched her own bag line called Fergie for Kipling. The 33-year-old says her latest bag collection was inspired by her high school years. “There’s tie-dye, there’s Jerry Garcia, it’s groovy,” she told OK! magazine. “My Chic Rocker [line] is more street-influenced. A bandana print really started that inspiration – each one starts off in kind of a pattern – so this started with the bandana.” (Full Story)
