Sources have confirmed to XPRESS that super Divas Mariah Carey and Fergie have been confirmed to perform in Dubai.

According to Mel Tyler, General Manager of Midas promotions The event will take place on May 15 and 16 with back to back shows headlined by Mariah Carey and Fergie of the Blackeyed Peas.

“Dubai is in for areal treat the two divas are set to come and put on a great show for Dubai,” said Mel Tyler.

The event will take place at Festival City which recently held the Akon concert which hosted 15,000 screaming fans.

Mariah Carey will be promoting her latest album which hit the top spot of the Billboards Charts with her debut single touch my body. This will be Maraiah second gig in Dubai after her first in 2005.

Carey, 38, was born on Long Island, N.Y., and began singing at the age of 4. Immediately after graduating from high school, Carey moved to New York City to pursue her music career.

Fergie who is also promoting her new album will be in Dubai for the second time as well, her last concert was in 2006 with the Black Eyed Peas.

After two successful Black Eyed Peas albums, fergie, who is also known as the Dutchess, began pursuing a solo career.

Her first album, released on September 19, 2006, and has had six hit songs from The Dutchess, with London Bridge, Fergalicious, Glamorous, Big Girls Don’t Cry, Clumsy, and Finally becoming number one singles. Her second single, Fergalicious, peaked at number 2.
